Transfer videos from your PC to Meta Quest!

Connect the Meta Quest to the PC with a USB 3.0 cable.
After wearing the Meta Quest, grant access to the data to the Meta Quest.
Return to the PC and access Meta Quest's internal shared storage and open the [ Movies ] folder.
When all videos have been transferred and completed in the folder, close the screen and disconnect the USB connection.

Dimension Player for Meta is not yet compatible with Meta Quest.
Please prepare a VR player such as Oculus Gallery or SKYBOX VR Player from the Oculus Store.
※The above players do not support VR+1D, so +1D functions such as Chapter function, file jump function, and interlocking function cannot be used.

Select "Library" from the menu bar at the bottom of the Meta Home screen.
Select the VR player you wish to use from the [ Apps ] item on the left side.

Launch Oculus Gallery and select Internal Storage.
Select [ Albums ] from the top menu, then select [ Movies ] to view the transferred movies.

If you cannot view the video properly, go to the menu bar and change the screen type from the icon on the far right.

If you want to set the projection method first, add the following text to the end of the video file.

Start SKYBOX VR Player and select [ Directory ].
Select [ Movies ] in the directory to view the transferred movies.

If you cannot view the video properly, go to the menu bar and change the screen type from the cube icon.

Samsung VR Videos

Launch Samsung VR Videos and select Media.
Select [ Movies ] to display the transferred movies.

If you are unable to view the video properly, please display the menu bar and select the left and right arrows to change the screen type.

Meta Quest + Quest LinkでPC用Dimension Playerを使用する方法

What is Quest Link?

VR device that can be played wirelessly without the need for a PC.
Meta Quest" can be used as a VR device for PC by connecting it to a PC in the same way as Rift S and other devices.

Notes on using Quest Link

Prepare a USB 3.0 or higher port compatible PC and a long cable (approx. 3m) with USB 3.0 or higher (blue terminals).
Please note that if it is too long, it may not be recognized.
※Please make sure that the USB terminal on the PC side is compatible with 3.0 when using the product.
※If the USB 3.0 cable is not recognized when connected to the USB 3.0 cable on the front of the PC, connect it on the rear.

Install the Meta App for PC!

First, you need to install the application for Oculus Rift S on your PC from the official website.
※For Meta versions, please keep the Meta Quest and Meta App for PC up-to-date.

Access tohttps://www.oculus.com/setup/
Download the software for Oculus Rift S and launch OculusSetup.exe.
Select "Start," review the "Terms of Use," and select "I Agree" to install the software.
After installation, login with yourMeta account or Facebook account.
After logging in, select [ Next ] and a menu will appear asking you to select a headset.
select Meta Quest and select [ Next ].

How to check the version

Meta App for PC
From your PC, launch the Meta App, select Settings, and then select the Beta tab.

Meta Quest
Check the version in Meta Quest [ Device Settings ] or [ Meta App for Smartphones ].

Connect Meta Quest to your PC!

Connect the Meta Quest to the PC via USB.
Once the connection is confirmed, follow the instructions and select [ Next ].
Once the Meta Quest and the controller are recognized by the Meta app, place the Meta Quest on your head.
When prompted to enable Quest Link (beta), select Enable.

※If the controller is not recognized, the connection is not properly made and the device should be disconnected and reconnected.

After setup, select "Turn on Link (Beta)" from the Meta Home menu.
※Please note that if the device is not connected via USB cable, it will not be displayed.

Start 4DMEDIAPLAYER for PC!

How to install and use 4DMEDIAPLAYER for PC

Activate Quest Link from Meta Quest Home.
Launch SteamVR and 4DMEDIAPLAYER for PC from your computer.
After starting the player, select [ VR Mode ] on the screen.
If 4DMEDIAPLAYER for PC is displayed on the screen with Meta Quest attached to the head, it is available.

※If it does not work properly, please restart SteamVR and 4DMEDIAPLAYER for PC.

When the warning message "Unknown provider application is displayed at startup".

Exit 4DMEDIAPLAYER
Launch the Meta application from your PC and log in.
Select "Device Settings" in the Meta app and select the "General" tab. Turn on the Unknown Source app.
You can use 4DMEDIAPLAYER for PC with Quest Link again.

How to use VR+1D goods interlocking with 4DMEDIAPLAYER for PC

Connect the USB compatible with your interlocking device to your PC.
After confirming that the USB is lit, attach the Meta Quest and start 4DMEDIAPLAYER for PC.
Select "Settings" on the left and select the "Bluetooth" item.
When the lamp of the interlocking device changes to blue, the interlocking function is available.

※4DMEDIAPLAYER can use the interlocking function with the device's built-in Bluetooth function or an external Bluetooth receiver (4.0 or higher).
※Please wait for a while for the dedicated USB for interlocking function, which will be supported by an update in the future.
